b) This isn't a good company. They've hyped up their name "American Eagle", and when you ask them, they hedge about where their jeans are made. None of it is American at all. ie https://allamerican.org/investiga...can-eagle/ "Where items are manufactured is a basic piece of information." This puts companies that actually are American made at a disadvantage because of deceptive practices.
c) Third, this is the company that was involved in the reprehensible and roundly condemned "good (g)enes" news stories, exploiting racism and sexism. A company that makes society worse by its advertising for cheap marketing isn't worth buying from, especially when $20 isn't even a real sale price for jeans!
d) No accident, their spokesmodel routinely seeks cheap publicity, and was in the news the night this was written promoting herself again in the same way, with a porn storyline for her show. Her "bf" - in the news - and which is probably a fake relationship for publicity, has a very long history of fake story negative marketing.
This company isn't selling a good product, it's selling negative marketing that harms everyone. And $20 for jeans, made in the same overseas shops making everyone else's jeans, isn't a bargain, it's the standard price for jeans.
