If you're lucky enough to be by a micro center this is almost always 199 so when it says regularly 400 bucks that's a ripoff it's a micro center exclusive and normally 319

This is a solid price point for a very good gaming processor (not king of the hill but does amazingly well) and also the processor runs cool (I have these installed in my kids gaming PC's and have compared to the 9800x3d and 9850x3d my wife and I run).

for many people, depending on the games you play, your gpu will be bottlenecking you, not this cpu. so this cpu is a really good value, but its usually cheaper at a microcenter. ive used this in several builds, but for any gpu around a 5070 or above, i like to spend the bit more and go with a 7800x3d instead

Would I notice much change going from a 5800X with DDR4 to a 7600x3d on DDR5 at 1440p gaming? I know the X3d chips are better for gaming but not sure how much better.
