The Eva-Dry Wireless Mini Dehumidifier is a compact rechargeable desiccant unit that works best in small sealed spaces like gun safes, cabinets, storage bins, and car interiors. It helps keep documents, filament, ammo, and glasses dry, and can prevent fogging or musty odors when the space is tight enough. Performance drops in rooms, closets, vans, or other larger or leakier spaces, where frequent recharging is needed. The indicator beads can also stop changing color after long use or overheating, so it is a small-space moisture fix with some maintenance.

  • Gun safe owners storing documents or valuables, because it keeps small sealed spaces dry and can prevent mold or fogging with periodic recharging.

  • Drivers keeping a small enclosed car space dry, because it can prevent window fogging and only needs monthly recharging in a vehicle.

  • 3D printer filament hobbyists using a gasketed storage bin, because it keeps filament dry in a tightly sealed container.

  • People trying to dry a room, closet, or large van interior, because it does not reduce humidity enough in larger spaces without frequent recharging.

  • Owners who need a long-lasting humidity indicator, because the color window can stop changing after the beads overheat or the indicator can fail after a year or two.

  • People who want a set-and-forget unit, because it needs periodic recharging and can be damaged if the heating cycle runs too long.

Terrible name. Sounds like a feminine product.

I have a couple. The older ones I got was like 10 -15 yo. It's in my closet and the indicator never turn green. Might have a few times years ago not not recent years. I keep recharging and using this.

I leave one of these in my car and the windows never fog up.
I keep one in a zip lock and toss my phone in there when its raining.

It will not suck up moisture in a large room. It will but it does not have the capacity for large amounts of moisture without a recharge. Small enclosed spaces work best.
Oooh great idea - for the car

I use these in the dish cabinet to prevent a funky smell from forming on the glasses. I'm the only one that seems to notice, but these have been great for that use case. I plug them in every two weeks or so in the summer. They did lose their indicator after a couple years, but I just plug them in occasionally and it's fine.

Just to give context, I bought this for $15 in January of this year. Still a great price, getting another one for my closet.

Got this for around $18 before and I like it. A lot of people don't seem to follow the instructions or understand how it works. The beads absorb moisture: when they're "full", you plug it in to evaporate and refresh the beads. Plugging them in for too long during this reset cycle would destroy the beads.

How often do you have to recharge the one left in the car?

Bought one for my van in Houston humidity. Does not reduce humidity at all.
A van is about 20-60 times larger than the working area of this device.

I use one of these in a gasketed plastic bin where I store my 3D printer filament. Works great to keep it dry.

so this is just silica beads with a build in dryer? you can get a jug of color changing silica beads for about 5 bucks a lb (get the green, blue is toxic) and dry them out in the oven when they change color. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFDZ79YN?th=1
I use them in the safe, and keeping filament, and guns and ammo dry.
Great Idea. Thanks for the suggestion and the link.

I'm giving this a try in a small confined box. I'm placing it in a fireproof safe. I've had issues with mold on some documents in the safe when I have not opened the safe in long while. I still will need to open the safe now and then to recharge the eva-dry unit, so not perfect.

Also the deal is over now.
