The 65 inch LG C5 OLED evo stands out as a brighter OLED option for semi bright rooms, with enough of an upgrade over older TVs to make sense for a bedroom or living room refresh. It also keeps Dolby Vision support for those who care about that format, while HDR10 and HDR10 plus are described as working well enough for most viewing. The main drawbacks are the one year warranty and the free installation through Angi, which was reported to involve delays and missed appointments. A solid fit if brightness and OLED picture quality matter more than extras.
Common Questions (5)
One checkout breakdown shows a total of $1,169.09 after the MEMORIAL10 code, an additional $56.69 promo, free shipping, and $89.10 estimated tax. Another purchase total came to $1,243.99 after tax, so the final price can vary by tax and promo application.
The C5 is brighter than the B5, making it the better pick for semi-bright rooms. The B5 is still a good fit for darker rooms, and the upgrade choice also depends on what TV you are replacing.
The free installation can be problematic: the TV may sit boxed for days, installers may leave if the set is too heavy to handle alone, and rescheduled appointments can be missed. If you need quick setup, plan for possible delays or arrange backup help.
Dolby Vision is not essential for strong HDR performance because HDR10 and HDR10+ can work very well. The LG C5 is most compelling if you specifically want Dolby Vision for Blu-ray playback or other content that uses it.
The warranty is only 1 year.
