Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
I'll second that these are unlikely to arrive intact. The lids, in particular, almost certainly will take a beating, and it's a good bet that some of the bins will not make it in one piece based on multiple orders I've placed online in the past from various merchants. These are much better to buy in store.
These 27 gallon Sterilite bins are valued for secure snap on lids and easy stacking, making them useful for bulk storage and moves. The deal price is competitive with Costco and Sam's Club pricing, and the six pack format matches the listing. The main concern is durability in shipping and over time, since lids and bins have arrived cracked or smashed and the plastic is described as brittle, especially in cold weather. A practical pick if local pickup or careful handling is available.
People storing heavy household gear in a garage, because the bins stack nicely and the lids stay secure.
The $48 six-pack works out to about $8 per bin, which is close to Sam's Club pricing and above Costco's reported sale prices of about $6.99 or $6.98 each. Costco also does not require buying a 6-pack.
The bins can be sturdy enough for moving and stacking, but the lids are reported to be the weak point. Several comments describe the plastic as brittle, with lids cracking after a few months in a garage or breaking in cold weather.
Buying in store is the safer choice because shipped orders have arrived smashed or cracked, especially the lids. In-store pickup avoids the damage risk and the hassle of returns.
The lids are reported to snap on securely and the bins stack nicely with each other. That makes them practical for garage or closet storage when the lids hold up.
Clear plastic storage bins can crack more easily in cold temperatures, especially in colder regions like the Northeast. That makes them a riskier choice if they will be stored or used outdoors or in an unheated space.
HomeDepot is definitely the way to go unless you really like wasting time buying these, receiving cracked bins, then having to waste gas to return them to your nearest Walmart.
why would you waste gas returning to walmart? they pick up at your house for free...sheesh..
these are $6 at costco right now. they are not durable. the plastic is brittle so they break quite easily
I just checked my Costco and they were $8, but didn't have any stock. Can anyone confirm they are currently on sale for $6? Might be worth it to hit other Costcos nearby if confirmed.

Can you guys stop acting like you don't pay for costco membership? The membership cost is part of this price unless you spend a ton to make it worth it... They arent $6 either, 6.99 on coupon is not $6. It is not worth it for single people to shop there for the most part. It used to be worth it for the gas if you were single, but now even that discount is gone around me since they are the same price as normal gas stations being GREEDY!
6.99 each at Costco right now and you don't have to get 6...

The same per-bin pricing can be found at Sam's Club.
The lids can stay secure and the bins can stack neatly together.
The bins can arrive in perfect condition when shipped.
The plastic totes can handle heavy moving use without issues.
Online orders can arrive smashed, with both bins and lids damaged.
The plastic can break more easily in cold temperatures, especially with clear bins.
The deal price may be less attractive if local store options cost more per bin.
The lids can be extremely brittle and may crack or break after sitting unused.
