I highly recommend putting water detectors near all possible leaks. We use govee ones and it saved us a few times. This mat will not save you from a leak if you do not catch it in time. This mat in combination with a detector is better than a detector alone tho.

This is a good idea. Going to measure and order.

EDIT: Just ordered the biggest one in tan (cheapest) at $12 bucks or so. Already had a leak with the hose for the faucet causing damage in the past. Definitely worth 12 bucks as this could have prevented it.
