Thats because Ankler also wants to sell you their standalone chargers.

I was expecting the charging to be the same as the power strip version....

Sadly it's not. This is fairly gimped for charging.

USB charging is horrible on this. I'm sorry when I read Anker I'm so use to extremely fast charging, figured 30w out of the USB C ports. Plugged in my power bank got 5w in either USB A port. 10w & 15w in the USB C port.

I charge my Anker power banks with this overnight and charge my phone with my power banks.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank jcnix

I bought this in Dec 2024 because I wanted something with the center screw mount from a recognizable brand name. The surge protection was a bonus. Paid $20 back then, so $16 is a good price.

Ended up removing it because the ports facing down makes it a pain to plug cables in. I'll either have to use it on an outlet that's higher up on the wall, or rotate the outlet so the plugs face up.

That's good feedback. Thanks.

Don't recommend. I bought several for $13 each (through Costco Next) and had to RMA half of them because I could only get 5v out of all ports. Even on the good ones, only the first USB-C port has PD charging at 18w, and that only when no other ports are in use. All other ports are 5v only. As jcnix stated, the port are also not easily visible or accessible. On the plus side, I've had no issues with the AC outlets.
I generally like Anker products, but this one in particular is not worthy of the front page.

I kind of prefer a slow charge overnight.
Seems like my phone batteries last longer that way.

I just returned exactly this one. I was lured by the brand name, but the product is worse than a random noname. One or two outlets either did not work or the power wasn't enough even to charge a pepper grinder.

Why do they bother to even include 4 ports if you only get 15w max when all 4 are in use....
The only way you'll get 20w is if you ONLY use the first usb-c port, any other port or additional port usage is 15w max combined. So many of Anker's stuff is built like this,
Might as well just have 1 port only.
