Dawn Platinum refill jugs are being framed as a strong value for a premium dish soap, with the effective price landing around 11 to 13 cents per ounce and even lower with a larger Subscribe and Save order. The Fresh Rain scent gets praise for smelling great, and the formula is still treated as the benchmark for cutting grease. The main knocks are the scent itself, which some do not like, and the newer cap that pours out too much soap. Comparable warehouse prices are also cited as a useful benchmark.
The deal can work out to about $0.12 per ounce, which commenters describe as strong value for Dawn Platinum refill soap.
Fresh Rain scent satisfaction is supported by comments saying the soap smells great.
Using Subscribe & Save with 5+ items can add an extra 10% off, bringing the effective price to roughly $0.11 per ounce.
A Costco benchmark shows Dawn Platinum pricing around $9.59 for a 90 fl oz bottle after discounts, supporting the value comparison.
Fresh Rain scent can be disliked, with comments saying the scent is not enjoyable.
The new cap design can pour out too much soap, which can create mess or waste during first use.
Amazon pricing can be much higher than the deal, with comments citing about $19.88 and only around 5% off with Subscribe & Save.
Scent expectations for Fresh Rain may be risky based on prior experience where a similar apple scent mixed with grease became nauseating.
