I've had this couch for five years and it hasn't been a great experience. First of all, having a fabric couch without the ability to remove exterior cover to wash is a major downside. The fabric also pills quite easily. And if you sit on the cracks in between two seats, there is a really hard frame that is uncomfortable. Obviously the solution is just to sqooch your bottom but not ideal.

I haven't really had an issue with the connectors. They stay in place for the most part but I also have it sitting on top of a rug.

Although looks like a good deal, read the reviews first. Some mention there is no way to keep the modular pieces attached together to prevent them from sliding. Many modular sofas have clips and velcro at the very least to help keep pieces together.

Definitely annoying, but they make connectors for this reason that are fairly easy to attach if you're even the slightest bit handy and have a drill. I actually just put some on out similar sectional last night... took about 20-30 minutes. Connectors were from Amazon. They cost about $25 for a set of 8 (we only needed 6 for a larger sectional than this).

This Thomasville Fallon modular sectional stands out as a big, comfy Costco couch with free shipping and a price that has dropped in store before. The cream and dark gray versions are described as sturdy and roomy, and the modular setup can be made more secure with aftermarket connectors, brackets, rug pads, or rubber pads. The main drawbacks are the pieces sliding without extra hardware, coarse or cheap feeling fabric, covers that cannot be removed for washing, and gaps or hard seams that can feel uncomfortable. It is a practical pick if you are willing to tinker with the setup.

  • Families wanting a deep, loungey sectional for movie nights, because it feels super comfy and sturdy in home-theater use.

  • Shoppers who can add connectors or brackets, because the modular pieces can be secured with simple hardware and a drill.

    topgun9iitopgun9iiGeoffreyK24

  • Pet-free homes that want a roomy couch for everyday sitting, because the fabric is comfortable and the sectional feels worth the price.

    courtnickellCleverLadybug2788

  • People who want a couch that stays locked together on hardwood, because the modular pieces can slide and leave uncomfortable gaps.

    Boss93NavyPear7215CleverLadybug2788strangevil

  • Households that need washable upholstery, because the covers cannot be removed to wash.

    PeterS2865slumstomills

  • Cat owners needing scratch resistance, because the fabric is not durable enough to survive cats.

    LazyCouchPotato

  • Tall buyers who need full upper-back support, because the backrest does not reach the shoulders.

Great deal, I wish it was the Thomasville Lowell, it look more comfy than this one
I don't see this model in store, but Lowell is available in warehouse and the are very comfy and sturdy.
I am looking something for my home theater and waiting for it to go on sale.
Also I wish they have one section that get expanded to become kind of lounge

We have this exact couch in dark grey. The lowest we EVER saw it was $900 in store. Very last box they had of the item. Pounced on it bc we had just moved and needed a couch. Super comfy. A big....comfy couch. Smilie

Right, there's a reason for the deep discount. Frown

We saw these on sale a couple months ago and chose not to buy them because you cannot remove the covers to wash them

I ordered a similar couch from Costco and returned it. The thing has nothing keeping the modular pieces together and really felt like cheap ass springs that would give out in a couple of years max when I sat on it. The fabric is also very cheap feeling. Honestly, just spend more on some Ikea furniture and it will feel much better than this and last longer as well if you're on a budget.
It's a $1700 couch. What do you expect? Lol

I had that problem with one of our current couches years ago. We got it brand new from some friends up the street when they moved for work and it was the strangest thing that it didn't clip together. I ordered some of the metal brackets off of Amazon that I've size lifts over the other and it is perfect. I ended up doing the same thing to my other couch because it worked better than the original system. I'm not saying it is a great option though. Kind of defeats the "modular" aspect of the whole thing lol

A rug underneath will help from sliding. Or rubber pads.
