I haven't really had an issue with the connectors. They stay in place for the most part but I also have it sitting on top of a rug.

Also, since these are modular blocks, it makes the gaps very uncomfortable to sit or even sleep on as they poke you. Just get a normal couch with a flat base if you actually intent to use it for lazing around.
