I haven't really had an issue with the connectors. They stay in place for the most part but I also have it sitting on top of a rug.
Community Reviews
This Thomasville Fallon modular sectional stands out as a big, comfy Costco couch with free shipping and a price that has dropped in store before. The cream and dark gray versions are described as sturdy and roomy, and the modular setup can be made more secure with aftermarket connectors, brackets, rug pads, or rubber pads. The main drawbacks are the pieces sliding without extra hardware, coarse or cheap feeling fabric, covers that cannot be removed for washing, and gaps or hard seams that can feel uncomfortable. It is a practical pick if you are willing to tinker with the setup.
The modular pieces can be kept together using aftermarket connectors installed with a drill in about 20-30 minutes.
The sectional can be assembled by snapping plates together after driving a few screws.
The dark grey version has been described as super comfy after purchase and use.
A rug or rubber pads underneath can help reduce sliding of the modular sectional pieces.
The fabric reportedly pills easily and can feel coarse or cheap.
The hard frame in the gaps between modular blocks can be uncomfortable when sitting in the cracks.
The modular pieces may slide without clips or velcro, so shoppers may need to add connectors or other restraints.
The exterior covers reportedly cannot be removed for washing, which makes fabric maintenance harder.

Also, since these are modular blocks, it makes the gaps very uncomfortable to sit or even sleep on as they poke you. Just get a normal couch with a flat base if you actually intent to use it for lazing around.
