I am playing this free on PS+ and I honestly don't know that I'd give even $5 for it. It's great in that there is a normal mode and a story mode. Story mode lets you increase your offense and decrease enemy offense to your liking, which should make the game accessible to more people. I've been playing since the Atari 2600, so I don't need handholding, but this game layout is confusing. Definitely give a demo a try first if available.

It gets a lot better once u figure out what to do/where to go, I'd recommend giving it a chance
