Yeah, and if it was not, it would be $350. I will take the nice, sturdy, CHEAP particleboard with good reviews I think for my needs....

There are different grades of particle board. I mean you have the real junk and then you have the better stuff veneered and almost indistinguishable. Don't know if this is a true trash version or not but chances are this is a decent lower cost piece. That's what reviews are for

Yes, pretty good for the prices. Definitely way better than comparable things from the Mainstays brand. If/when you can get a sale/clearance, it's even better bang for your buck. I recently got 2 similar shelves (in black) 2 queen bed frames (with actual headboards/footboards), and 2 tall dressers, all for about $300-350. All pretty sturdy and will do the job until we can afford what we actually "want". I've made plenty of purchases of this brand before as well, it's the only brand I've actually had good luck with cubicles for example 🙃

I think I've had this exact same bookshelf for many, many years. Still in good shape even though we've used it a LOT.
