You can. That's why the wifi only models are more common. But some people prefer the seamless uninterrupted cellular connection if they are heavy users who are always outside on the go, want to save battery on the phone, or their phone plans have caps on hotspot caps.

For anyone wondering, this is the previous Gen iPad Air. They're up to M4 ones. Not sure how much of a difference that is if you aren't a power user.

Cause it's not unlimited. The only one that I can think of that's unlimited is visible. But the speed is like 5Mbps.lol
