haha so turns out it's not my mobo, looks like it's my RAM. FML 8GB stick is $150 now wtf, i bought my pair of 64GB for that much.

If you're near a Microcenter you can get the 5500 bundle for $200. It comes with 16gb. The ram itself sells for $150. It's 16gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX. The bad news is you'd be stuck with another board and processor forcing you to build another pc.

that is AM4 and DDR4. cheapest way into AM5/DDR5 at microcenter is the 7500x3d deal.

You're right. Thought this was a B550 board. That 7500x3d deal I believe is $300.

Gigabyte eagle is their entry level line of products. If you plan on running high power hardware, try stepping up to gaming x or aurous for more stable power delivery and thermals.

You never caught a pair of 64 gig sticks for sub 150 of ddr5. Maybe 2 sticks of 32. Prices may have been lower. But let's not lie

this really won't matter at all for any default hardware. If you are OCing like crazy, then maybe but eagle line is perfectly fine with a 9850x3d and 5090
