"similar" mechanics as dark souls, so if you played DS1 at least, the way you approach enemies are similar. if you're looking for your first souls game, this in my opinion is probably the easiest.
that said, i enjoyed the game and ~$40 feels too expensive, given that the DS trilogy can be bought at the same price.
