They make these in china now. Only 5 percent is made in Canada and the quality through out the years have gone downhill. You will find it is not as warm as it used to be.

Agree. Also prices have gone up as they try to position themselves as a fashion brand. They are really no longer an outdoor brand as their quality and materials have gone downhill.

I still think Patagonia is decent. Compared to Arcteryx now, their prices seem reasonable and their quality hasnt changed. They arent as innovative as Arcteryx used to be, but Arcteryx has gone downhill and Patagonia has stayed the same. I was at the Arcteryx store this week and was surprised at how low the quality in their newer models has dropped. Double the price and half as good as before.

All you have to do is buy older version used. It's not like it's a car, computer, etc. Older sku isn't obsolete.

For what you get Arcteryx is grossly overpriced. Yet, I'm still tempted by this deal.

What's the difference between made in China versus made in Canada? Is it still worth paying $600 for this jacket?

Pretty bad reviews for a supposed $1000+ jacket. I'll pass.

Made in China carries a low quality stigma. People fail to realize companies in China produce whatever spec you contract them for.
