The reason I go to Shell is that they accept my Smith's (Kroger) fuel points, of which I usually have at least enough to get 40 cents off (occasionally the full $1) each time. Fuel is better quality too. So it comes out cheaper for me.

Ever since I had to replace my motor, I decided 10% premium was worth it for peace of mind for one of the best gases out there. Plus I don't have Costco and Sam's Club has been known to be lower tier. It's probably overkill but I am scarred.
