This Gourmia 8 quart digital air fryer is best understood as a roomy countertop fryer with a window and light that can handle everyday snacks and small pizzas. It cooks well for the size, and the Costco return policy makes exchanges straightforward if needed. The main drawbacks are a finicky basket and track, slow preheating, and a window that can become hard to use once oily foods splatter. The crisper tray coating and plastic smell also come up, so it feels like a practical pick if you can live with some quirks.
People who line the basket with foil or silicone, because liners make cleanup easier and help manage grease.
People who want a large-capacity fryer for batch cooking, because the 8-quart basket fits bigger loads.
Shoppers who want a fryer they can monitor quickly, because the window lets you check food in seconds without a long oven-style heat loss.
Home cooks making small pizzas or cookies, because the basket is deep enough for those foods.
People who want a fryer that heats quickly, because it can take a long time to preheat.
People who need a basket that slides in smoothly every time, because the grooves can be finicky and the basket can fall off track.
Shoppers who want easy long-term cleanup, because the crisper tray coating can flake and become hard to clean.
Cooks who make oily or splattering foods, because the window can become useless once grease coats it.
