Looks like the standard price is $605 on Amazon's Weber store. That $750 isn't a true original price.

Not sure. I always considered a Blackstone but whenever I see them in person the quality doesn't look great.

I have a Weber griddle and my SIL has a Blackstone. I cook a lot on both since we are over there a lot.
The big difference between the two (since they are both owned by Weber) is build quality. The Weber has a better and smoother cooking surface. The tray and metal they use is better quality. The Weber also has a more even cooking temperature across the entire surface.
Whether or not that difference is worth the $ is up to you.

Sometimes you can find griddles at stores of TJX Inc. like Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Saw Weber 28" rust resistant at TJ Maxx store a few days ago.
