This is kind of silly from an physics standpoint. The air coming out of one end will be cooler, and then it'd mix in with hot air being dumped out the other end. Ultimately you'd just end up heating up your tent.

You'd be much better served with a fan or mini swamp cooler...

While I agree, this would absolutely be counterproductive to use fully inside an enclosed area as it would ultimately create heat. It could potentially work to some degree if placed at an opening blowing in.

I didn't know about this unit in particular, but usually these have 1 or 2 hoses to do the hot air exchange. They frequently don't show it in the pictures though.

It says it includes an exhaust hose, presumably to be routed outside of a tent.
