The Koda 2 Pro is a large gas pizza oven aimed at crispy Neapolitan-style pies, with enough heat for well over 600 degrees and a two burner setup that should make larger pizzas easier to manage. The size is a major draw, especially versus smaller Ooni models, and the deal was strong enough that the item shipped as the Pro despite the listing confusion. Setup needs a sturdy chest high table or cart, and cleanup can be tricky unless you burn off residue after cooking or wipe it down while warm. Conversion to natural gas appears unsupported or kit dependent, so the propane version is the safer assumption.

  • The oven can reach temperatures well above 600°F, which helps burn off residue into smoke and ash.

  • The propane setup can make temperature control easier and can reduce wood flavor at high temperatures.

  • The cleaning process can be simplified by running the oven after cooking so little remains behind.

  • The delivered unit can match the Koda 2 Pro model, which reduces the risk of receiving the smaller Koda 2.

  • Conversion from natural gas may not be supported unless a separate conversion kit is available.

  • Cleaning can be difficult, and the oven may be hard to scrub thoroughly after use.

  • The oven may require chest-level placement on a tall table or stand, which can add setup cost and effort.

  • Pizza cooking may require rotating during cooking because heat comes from two sides.

No not this model. Deal breaker for me if I was looking for one!

I'm refreshing the page like every minute lol. It either sold out or they realized the issue, as it looks like it's out of stock. But my order does say processed/packed and waiting to ship, so maaaaaaybe?

Got it. It was in the 60's when I placed the order. My "Cancel" button in the order confirmation screen has transitioned to "Request Cancellation" so I am cautiously optimistic, never going to find a deal like that again

The fact that the natural gas version is still full price and that this is listed as the same price a the 20% off non-pro version, I'm going to guess it's a price mistake but really hope it ships before they catch it. Been waiting years for a nice pizza oven big enough to do larger than 12" pizzas
That, and HD also has the regular Koda 2 listed at 399: https://www.homedepot.com/p/OONI-.../338909171

If you wondered what a $400 pizza tastes like, get it.

(as in, you'll make one pizza with it and never bother to use it again)

I got the Ooni Koda 12 as a gift and yea... use it about once or twice a year. You REALLY need to want to invest time and patience to use these things. Prep, cleanup, heating up time, and making dough doesn't seem worthwhile or easy enough to use it frequently.

You can't even find the linked item on home depot's site anymore. They definitely know something is up at this point. I've been wanting to build a wood fired pizza oven forever, but that unfortunately requires you to have property you can build on. Lil townhome patio doesn't allow for that and property ain't getting cheaper, so this is it for me for a while. Even at using it twice a year, I imagine that would be a really fun gathering each time and totally worth it for me at least.

We had a 12" Ooni, too small and hard to turn the pizzas to cook evenly. Bought the larger 14" one and it was easier, but still have to rotate the pizzas. Hoping this max with the 2 burners makes it easier. Have a Zojirushi bread maker to proof the dough and we have more than paid for it at family gatherings!
