while i'm just as angry at shrinkflation, the size bottle they use is less important than the actual QTY, which it seems has stayed 1 gallon constantly.

So when you go to pour it the fluid vacuum seals, glugs out and gets everywhere? Its 1 gal of fluid, the vessel can hold more.
