I too got this lopper few years ago; very useful to cut both low level branches as well as thicker branches. The extendable handle is super useful especially when you are trimming those that have thorns (for eg: Rose bushes, Citrus etc.); it also gives more leverage.

worked for me. I have a Fiskers loppers and when it got dull, after many years, they replaced it for free. Good company.

I have had a pair of these for several years. They work well but the locking mechanisms on the shaft do not lock with enough friction and they constantly come out of their lock position when in use. They are heavier than another extendable brand I have and weaker in the shafts. With my first pair one of the shafts bent into a curve, Fiskar customer service replaced them for free. Fiskar has a better pair of Extendable Loppers (25"-37") that replaces these, it comes with a Power-Lever. They use a different locking mechanism that looks solid in function. Fiskar customer service is good. I have several Fiskar products, Fiskar sent me a new part for my Pruning Stik and replaced a pair of scissors when they broke for free.

I've had a pair of these for probably 10 years. They work well. The long arms give great leverage, plus the extension can give even more leverage or more reach. Only problem we've had is the orange caps around the locking mechanism tend to come out of their place. They don't actually fall off the handles, just slide toward the head, which makes the lock not work. But just pushing it back in place makes it work again. No idea what we paid back in the day, but I'd say definitely worth $20.
