The 20$ essentially get added as credit to your account. You can use all or parts of it in one or several sessions. "Expires after one month", they likely mean after you redeem the code.

After you apply the codes, in the app goto Payments&Billing, then transactions and you should see the $20.00 there as an account credit.. Credits may or may not expire after 30 days.
