Cameras don't record people; people record people.

Seriously, how does one even consent to being recorded? Like anyone can wear these and record people, not to mention who knows what servers it's being sent to and being seen by what person in which country.

In public you have no say if you're recorded or not. With that said, I wouldn't recommend wearing these to a kids playground.

Why do you not recommend wearing to a playground. Because there are kids? Can't you record with your phone? Seems to be it would be more obvious if someone was staring at me with glasses that show you when someone is filming then someone trying to secretly record you with a phone.

Just because you can legally do something, doesn't mean that your actions will not be met with consequences, especially if you're breaking social norms.

I've seen a Google Glasshole at SXSW ~10 years ago get his new tech status symbol knocked off his head at a bar by someone passing by just cause he was recording. Years later, at a hardcore show, saw someone took the earlier version of these glasses right off a stranger and toss them over the wall of venue right into the busy street. Should either of these things have happened? No. But no one had any sympathy either.
With the fact that the recording light can easily be concealed or even stopped from turning on even when recording, folks wearing these out in public are tiptoeing that fark around and find out line.

If anyone thinks it's all good and recording in public is legal, so if folks don't like it, it's their problem, try something for just 10-30 minutes in any population center. Just wander around with your phone out in your hand like you're recording, but don't. Just have the phone locked. Now go talk to people, order at a restaurant, go to the grocery store, etc, etc. At best, you'll be lucky to only get some dirty looks. Far from a zero chance someone acts more aggressively than that against you. Practically no different than wearing these aground in public.
