I bought this a while ago and it was not the theatrical Grindhouse version, but rather Planet Terror extended and Death Proof extended on separate discs. The back cover advertises the set as the theatrical presentation on disc 1 and special features on disc 2. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing for sure until you open it.

It was released on Easter weekend, not exactly the best timing for this kind of movie and it also probably didn't help that general audiences didn't know what the movie was. It probably would've fared better if it was released during the Halloween season.

I can't believe it's been almost 20 years since this came out, man that's depressing. Such a great movie experience. Two totally underrated movies, Stuntman Mike was a fantastic character. And lets not forget Machete!!

The blu-ray format itself turns 20 this year I believe!

Am I the only one that constantly gets bad luck with Amazon media purchases? I seem to get blu-ray cases with a cracked corner like 1/3 of the time.

They just shipped me a used copy of the first 3 John Wick movies. Smudges and light scratches. Annoying af

This is why I quit doing business with Amazon and cancelled my Prime membership two years ago. I repeatedly received totally destroyed and/or straight-up used and disgusting items from them, especially physical media. It was constant. After twenty years of being a customer they lost my business permanently. Amazon is garbage. They're not even a shadow of what they used to be. They were once a quality online retailer that took great care in how they did things. They're now the absolute worst.
