Community Reviews
ThermoMaven X2 is a wireless meat thermometer that stands out for long range and simple base-only use, with the display base able to go wherever you are and no phone app required. The probes are described as accurate enough for everyday cooking, and the X2 is often preferred over Bluetooth models and even MEATER because it avoids app hassles and connection issues. The main drawbacks are inconsistent coupon checkout behavior, occasional signal trouble with foil, and a few reports of probe accuracy, size, or battery-life problems. A practical pick if you want standalone monitoring and stronger range.
Pitmasters who want to monitor a cook from across the house, because sub-1G reaches farther and penetrates walls better than regular Wi‑Fi.
Cooks who prefer using the base instead of a phone app, because it works standalone without Bluetooth and app setup.
Grillers who want a thermometer that is easier to use than app-tied models, because it avoids phone dependence and works well at close range.
Home cooks tracking foil-wrapped meat, because the probes still work well even though the signal can be blocked by foil.
Users who rely on phone-app monitoring, because the X2 has no Bluetooth or app connection.
Precision cooks who need tight probe accuracy, because one unit reported probes reading 10° and 12° off.
People cooking with foil-wrapped meat at long range, because the wireless signal can be blocked by foil.
Cooks who need dependable operation every time, because the app and connection can work only about one-third of the time.

I also have some Thermopro ones that have the wired probe that you attach to a unit that then communicates with a base. I find myself using that more than the Meater, so this seems to kind of be the mixture of the two. I quite honestly also find that being tied down to an app for Meater to be an extra step that I don't need.
75SHARJZ still seems to work. You might need to switch to the $103.99 one sold by ThermoMaven-US by clicking "Other sellers on Amazon", and if you're using the Amazon app don't forget to tap the arrow to apply the code
