The Deco 7 Pro BE63 is a tri band WiFi 7 mesh system that stands out for strong whole home coverage, solid stability, and easy setup. It has been rock solid for several homes, with wireless backhaul coming online quickly and wired backhaul freeing up bandwidth even more. Several setups replaced older Orbi or Asus systems and delivered better coverage or faster speeds, and the app adds useful features. The main cautions are that some devices needed security setting tweaks, and wired backhaul is the safer path for the most reliable performance.

  • People upgrading from an older Orbi system, because the Deco can deliver better speeds and a rock-solid replacement experience.

  • Households with Ethernet between mesh nodes, because wired backhaul frees the wireless bands for devices and avoids mesh contention.

  • Homes replacing an older Wi‑Fi 5 mesh, because coverage can improve and wireless backhaul can set up quickly without issues.

  • Families with lots of connected devices, because the system can stay rock solid on a busy network and avoid frequent restarts.

  • People who need dependable wireless mesh linking through walls, because wireless mesh can be weak and lower-speed spots can appear when devices choose higher bands.

  • Households expecting top-tier raw download speed, because one setup delivered slightly lower downloads than a previous Wi‑Fi 5 mesh.

  • Buyers who want maximum confidence in long-term platform support, because future routers may be blocked and software updates could be affected later.

  • People who want a trouble-free setup for every laptop, because one laptop needed security changes before it would join the main network.

Is this same/similar to Costco clearance one for $100 awhile back?
Pretty much. I was able to get the Costco deal and the system has been very good. I'm using two at my main home and one at my daughter's apartment. Note: these can be used as individual routers.

I paid $324 shipped with a free camera from TP Link direct. They also charged $0 sales tax. This was a month and a half ago. Rock solid. No wired back haul. Replaced an x90 system and was a pretty solid improvement.

No issues as long as you use wired connection for back haul.
What's the point of mesh then... Get 3 routers and manage them easily. To link wireless mesh has been very weak for me though mine is dual band I'm told it won't be reliable unless triband...

No offense, but you need to educate yourself. They have not been banned. There is a possibility that future routers will be. But those currently for sale or owned will continue to be supported. They are also working with the government. TP-Link provides something like 40% of the consumer market. Really hard to see the government banning them.
https://www.pcmag.com/news/facing...lionsUnder the ban, TP-Link can continue selling existing products, but it's blocked from selling new, foreign-made Wi-Fi routers unless it receives an exemption. A bigger problem is that the current FCC order will, in theory, prevent the company from issuing software updates to existing TP-Link routers in the US starting in March 2027, although the FCC is indicating it'll clarify that policy.

That's interesting that this is a front page deal. I bought this exact mesh system from Amazon on March 28th. It looks like I paid $324. I have no complaints, although I'm not a high end gamer or anything, and I haven't noticed any difference from my previous wifi5 Orbi mesh system.

I replaced the Eero Pro 7 system with the BE13000 and my speeds increased by 40%. Have only had it a week but impressed thus far.
I'll 2nd this. The Eero Pro 7's are not that great. If anything, spend the extra and get the Max 7's. But skip the Pro 7's.

I got this recently. I'd say I'm slightly disappointed with it overall, because my download wifi speeds are a little lower than they were with my previous wifi 5 Orbi mesh system, but my overall coverage is better, so it basically evens out. I'm using wireless backhaul, everything was working within 15 mins, no issues encountered.
Wow this was my exact situation, I just set this up tonight leaving my AC Orbi with 2 satellites to this. I am getting much better speeds almost everywhere. There are a few spots that I have lower speed due to my testing devices connecting via 5-6 Ghz instead of 2.4 and going through a few walls.

I will probably try to mess with the satellite placement to get better speeds or if its possible to set some kind of threshold to swap to 2.4ghz.

whats even more wild is that TPlink systems inc. is a registered US company headquartered in Irvine, California.. literally creating US R&D jobs and making the US more innovative and competitive in the global tech market. most of its products are now made in vietnam and brazil. this "tplink is evil cos they're from chyyyyyna" narrative is a kind of new age mcarthyism that panders to the anti-intellectual base in the country. In terms of technical vulnerabilities Netgear, another US company, is a much worse offender according to the CISA KEV catalog.
that said, asus routers are among the most secure routers (CISA data) and come with lifetime free subs for commercial grade malware protection that usually make their deals slicker.

"New"meaning products that are currently not in existence. Routers that are currently sitting on store shelves are not banned. Otherwise how would you be able to buy them?? And there is no chance they are going to stop router manufacturers from updating the current products.

Honestly, you probably won't. 90% of users are fine with wifi5. I upgraded because my previous Orbi was end of life and no longer supported

When you mesh with two bands, one of the bands is needed to communicate between the routers. As an example, 5ghz is being used to mesh your two routers AND being used to feed your TV and two phones. If you have three hands, maybe the 6ghz is being used to mesh freeing up all the 5ghz to feed your devices. Think of it as a freeway with cars on it. Less cars on each lane when there are three lanes instead of two.

Connecting two routers via Ethernet frees up the wireless bands for devices. Direct Ethernet is always ideal if possible

Anyone have issues with this TP Link Mesh system?
Not really. I just got it and love it. I was having one issue with one laptop that didn't want to connect to the main network. It would connect to the guest network with no problem. Had to change the security settings. Otherwise flawless.

It too moved over from Orbi and I'm way happier.
