The Deco 7 Pro BE63 is a tri band WiFi 7 mesh system that stands out for strong whole home coverage, solid stability, and easy setup. It has been rock solid for several homes, with wireless backhaul coming online quickly and wired backhaul freeing up bandwidth even more. Several setups replaced older Orbi or Asus systems and delivered better coverage or faster speeds, and the app adds useful features. The main cautions are that some devices needed security setting tweaks, and wired backhaul is the safer path for the most reliable performance.

  • People upgrading from an older Orbi system, because the Deco can deliver better speeds and a rock-solid replacement experience.

  • Households with Ethernet between mesh nodes, because wired backhaul frees the wireless bands for devices and avoids mesh contention.

  • Homes replacing an older Wi‑Fi 5 mesh, because coverage can improve and wireless backhaul can set up quickly without issues.

  • Families with lots of connected devices, because the system can stay rock solid on a busy network and avoid frequent restarts.

  • People who need dependable wireless mesh linking through walls, because wireless mesh can be weak and lower-speed spots can appear when devices choose higher bands.

  • Households expecting top-tier raw download speed, because one setup delivered slightly lower downloads than a previous Wi‑Fi 5 mesh.

  • Buyers who want maximum confidence in long-term platform support, because future routers may be blocked and software updates could be affected later.

  • People who want a trouble-free setup for every laptop, because one laptop needed security changes before it would join the main network.

Be warned, new TP-Link models have been banned in the US, because of the thought they might be recording and sharing the information with China. I personally have a TP-Link router, but if I had my money back, I would avoid this (and most Chinese brands).

Anyone have issues with this TP Link Mesh system?
I replaced my Orbi RBR50 with this and it's been rock solid. More features in the app too.

Better sell data to China than US. At least we won't be prosecuted by china

Same price at TPLINK but -$50 off if you spin the wheel a couple times at the landing page until you get that discount (use incognito mode to do it) -10% CB - ~$25 for selling the free camera that comes with it= $252 OTD.
Now that's slick.

whats even more wild is that TPlink systems inc. is a registered US company headquartered in Irvine, California.. literally creating US R&D jobs and making the US more innovative and competitive in the global tech market. most of its products are now made in vietnam and brazil. this "tplink is evil cos they're from chyyyyyna" narrative is a kind of new age mcarthyism that panders to the anti-intellectual base in the country. In terms of technical vulnerabilities Netgear, another US company, is a much worse offender according to the CISA KEV catalog.
that said, asus routers are among the most secure routers (CISA data) and come with lifetime free subs for commercial grade malware protection that usually make their deals slicker.
Dude said Taiwan stole our chip industry. It was founded by a us citizen almost 40 years ago lol.
Even more funny is they claim to hate China and yet they're building Chinese data centers in dark red states. Our city council approved one here though citizens strongly opposed it.
The argument is data theft and yet they're building a surveillance state. Once I saw what a flock camera was once, I notice them everywhere here. Using "protect the children" age verification as a cover to erase internet anonymity. It's pretty insane and I'm no conspiracy theorist. My guess is they'll approve any network device with a back door for Uncle Sam.
