$65 on eBay via SunshineToolDepo - 3401-20 // Reddit and other users claim Sunshine is selling authentic Milwaukee. Warranty might be an issue but at $65 bucks and 597 sold it's a better deal than what Home Depot is offering.

I haven't bought this tool from them but I have bought several of the larger M12 1/2in hammer drills from them. All of them were brand new, though usually shipped without a box. Just the bare tool in a bag. They're a solid ebay seller in my experience.

All of my tools are Milwaukee. I always worry about the warranty thing from non-approved sellers, then remember I always leave tools on the roof of work van. I'm on my third 3/8 Fuel ratchet -.- So I save money on the sellers that aren't authorized. Haven't been burned yet. Only tools though, batteries are all from HD.

Why would you lay it on the roof? Only time I go on the roof of my service van is to get my extension ladders.

Doesn't matter who you buy through. A repair place checks the serial number, and if it was built within 5 years it's covered. Recently ran into needing my hackzall repaired and the local authorized repair shop didn't even ask for a receipt. Just checked the serial number and did a $150 repair for $6

Work van is a Transit Connect. It's low and the roof is at a perfect height for setting (and forgetting). Also a high demand job and long hours, my brain shuts off sometimes during 14 hour shifts. Left a new $400 jump box in a parking lot a few years ago, gone a few minute later when I went back for it. I sometimes think about it and hope it's living a good life with whoever took it.
Almost thought it was the ⅜ impact wrench on sale.
I don't see it will ever be sold at this price.
They're probably getting rid of a high inventory of these hammer drills. It's still a marked up retail lower than the daily regular price for Memorial Day. I got mine about the same last memorial with carry case 2.0 and XC3.0 batteries and charger $199.99

What's the difference between the 3404-20 and 3401-20?
Why is this a good deal? This is the subcompact... The M12 Fuel kit with both the drill and impact and batteries you could get for ~ $120 after cancelling or returning the promo item when they run B1G1.
$89 bare tool just seems steep when through the year they'd do the fuel versions with a single battery and charger for $99.
If you have to have the subcompact for whatever reason I'd personally wait.
