ASUS Prime X870-P WiFi is a solid AM5 motherboard deal, especially for builders who want X870 features, WiFi 7, and extra NVMe support at a low resale price. The board is described as arriving like new or even brand new, with the usual accessories present, though Amazon Resale can occasionally miss items or send the wrong antenna. The main drawback is the basic ALC897 audio, which sounds thin and may need a DAC or amp, and the board only has two SATA ports. A strong value if those tradeoffs fit the build.
Common Questions (5)
Like New is generally treated as open-box and should include everything needed, with missing items usually noted in the used description. The worst-case gap mentioned is an extra M.2 screw, and one received unit included the WiFi connector and SATA cable unused.
The onboard audio uses the ALC897 codec, which is a basic budget part. It can sound tinny and may lack enough amplification for higher-end headphones, so a DAC or amp is the practical fix.
Yes, the listing can arrive with accessory issues: one unit came with an older antenna that did not fit the board's newer Q-antenna connectors and had to be returned. Another received unit looked brand new, so the accessory condition can vary.
It only has two SATA ports, so it is not ideal if you need multiple SATA drives. That limitation matters more if you are moving storage over from an older build.
Yes, the board includes WiFi 7 built in. That feature was called out as a major value point for the price.

I'm not looking at this particular board, but there are a bunch with 10%, 15% or 20% discount showing.

I do have this board and bought it new. It is a decent board and has all of the basic features of X870, primarily more nvme slots. The only thing that sucks is the onboard audio. The stainless steel heatsinks is an unusual choice and doesn't match typical black or white builds, but I guess they didn't want to go with black to differentiate from their TUF lineup.

Subjectively, the audio sounds tinny and lacks amplification to drive higher end headphones.
Now I get to build my pc again π
