This 24 piece flex head ratcheting wrench set stands out for tight access work and for covering both SAE and metric sizes in one kit. The ratcheting action is described as smooth, the flex head adds useful reach, and the set has held up well on exhaust work, classic cars, small engines, and farm or heavy equipment tasks. The main knocks are the 12 point box ends, the long wrench length, and packaging that is awkward to open. It reads as a solid all around set for jobs where speed and reach matter more than maximum torque.

  • Home mechanics working in tight spaces, because the flex head and ratcheting action make awkward fasteners quicker to reach.

  • Owners of classic cars, farm equipment, or hydraulic fittings, because the set includes both SAE and metric sizes needed on older and mixed hardware.

  • Truck-toolbox users who need a wrench set ready at a minute's notice, because the complete SAE and metric coverage is handy for quick grab-and-go repairs.

  • Mechanics who prefer a smooth-feeling ratcheting wrench set for light-to-moderate work, because the ratcheting action is reported as smooth and the tools hold up well.

  • Mechanics who want a 6-point box end for higher-torque bolt work, because the set uses 12-point ends and can feel less suitable for heavy torque.

  • Buyers who need the shortest possible flex-head wrench, because this set runs noticeably long and can be harder to fit into cramped access points.

  • Shoppers expecting very hard steel, because the tools are described as too soft and may push you toward buying another set later.

  • People who need a locking flex head, because the head does not lock and only relies on torsion to stay positioned.

I hate the boxed end is a 12 point, pass.
looks like there is only one option for hex, MAC tools and its almost $400 for just the metric set. What's so bad about 12point? I realize that 6 point can hold up to a lot more torque and less risk of rounding a bolt. However, I don't think you would typically use a ratcheting flex head wrench for a high torque situation.

Agree. I can't remember the last time I used SAE.I don't work on planes lol.
Classic cars use SAE, full metric conversion didn't happen for USA car manufacturers until the 1990's. My 1967 Datsun Sport Roadster is most all SAE.

ordered these and got them a day ago. As a heavy home mechanic/wrencher but not a pro, they are nice enough to keep. Ratcheting feels smooth on all of them. A couple sizes I'll never use but hey, the completeness helps with the OCD

one important piece of info: they're LONG. as in, they're probably 20% longer than the other flex head set I had from years back, i think gearwrench. I personally would rather they be shorter for access reasons, but kept them anyway.

to me 6 vs 12 point is a non-issue. These are geared wrenches, if you're putting enough torque on them that being 12 point matters you're asking to wreck the gears inside

own a farm, classic vehicle, any heavy equipment, hydraulic fittings. SAE is very much still needed and not any less so than metric from bolts to allens, to the fitting bodies themselves.

Is this even a good brand? I hope it's not one of those situations where you get what you pay for.

I'm not seeing it in the description, and the pictures are ambiguous... these aren't locking flex head, correct? (Locking like the Icon meme tool 1/4" flex, for example)

Just got these this morning. They work well and are not cheap knock-offs.
