This 24 piece flex head ratcheting wrench set stands out for tight access work and for covering both SAE and metric sizes in one kit. The ratcheting action is described as smooth, the flex head adds useful reach, and the set has held up well on exhaust work, classic cars, small engines, and farm or heavy equipment tasks. The main knocks are the 12 point box ends, the long wrench length, and packaging that is awkward to open. It reads as a solid all around set for jobs where speed and reach matter more than maximum torque.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. The set covers both SAE and metric, which makes it useful for mixed jobs, classic cars, farm equipment, hydraulic fittings, and older vehicles that still use SAE fasteners.
It is described as decent to high quality for the price, with reports that it works well and is not a cheap knock-off. The set has also been used successfully on exhaust work and other vehicle projects without obvious issues.
For this style of geared ratcheting wrench, the 12-point box end is generally acceptable because it is not meant for high-torque work. The tradeoff is less ideal bolt engagement than 6-point, but the ratcheting flex-head design is aimed at access and speed in tighter spaces.
The ratcheting action is reported as smooth across sizes, and the flex head has enough torsion to stay where it is positioned even though it does not lock. That makes it practical for awkward angles and faster work in tight spaces.
Yes. The set is reported to be about 20% longer than an older GearWrench flex-head set, which can help leverage but may reduce access in very tight spots.

About 15 companies, lol. Of course, if you don't know, the more teeth you add, the weaker it gets. However, a good quality set, like one from GearWrench is stronger than some of the no name off-brand sets. I usually only need these, when I have something in a very tight space and have trouble with a regular wrench. In those cases, I just prefer the higher tooth count, but I'm also not doing anything, where I need to apply a ton of pressure. I just work on stuff around my home, nothing commercial.
