Looking to get into PC gaming, but not sure about building my own yet. Thoughts on getting this and throwing an RX9070 or RTX 5070 in it? Power supply seems adequate, and it will be less than the pre-builts I can find with those cards right now. Especially if I can sell the included GPU.

Is the CPU a good match for those cards? Anything else that could be an issue? I'll be gaming on a 1440p monitor, or upscaling to a 4K TV.

TBH you don't need a desktop for that. Laptops will work just fine and allow you to do those types of lighter tasks around the house or on vacation if you don't already have one. This will be futureproof for probably the next 10 years for what you are planning to do on it. If you have kids or anyone you think might want to use it to game, then it's worth it, otherwise I'd just look at regular desktop or laptop.

This deal is OK in the current market, mainly because the RAM makes up half the cost, but the rest of the components are just OK for the price point (you can't build it for the same price though). The main thing is that not many good deals are this low nowadays so that's what makes it stand out.

Well their drivers were already a mixed bag for older titles...the B580 and especially 1st Gen Alchemist cards were catered to enthusiasts who would take the increased value for the trouble of messing with drivers. Most new games should work fine, but its not 90%+ stable like Nvidia or AMD GPUs have been (see Crimson Desert for a recent example). Honestly only time will tell since Druid (4th gen) is supposedly still in development unlike the canceled Celestial 3rd gen.

Overall, yes. As long as you understand you won't be able to use a more modern CPU. You can upgrade within the socket, but Intel changed their socket after this year. But seeing as CPUs aren't usually the bottleneck in a build, you should be fine buying and upgrading. Nothing will be perfect at this price point, but when it comes to sacrifices, I feel this one makes the right ones.
