I have played through the game three times now. It's great! Note that you can get the Gold Edition for $10 direct from Ubisoft using the checkout code "LEGEND". The Deluxe pack, which comes with the Ultimate edition is $14 with code, but all it does is make the start of the game a little easier.

You are right. I bought it for $4.99 from Epic Games on 1/6/2022. $12 should be for the gold edition at the very least.
This game was released in Oct 2018 and it's been almost 8 years since.
