It's a trim router which mean it uses 1/4 inch shanks and that usually removes less material.
There are lots of bits that are 1/2 inch shanks for example I have a tongue and groove set for cabinet doors that are 1/2 inch shanks. Some profiles just remove more material which requires larger shanks.
This router is fantastic though. I own it and use it for making slots, chamfers and round overs. The only thing I dislike about it ; is that the package is barebones. I think other brands at least throw in an edge guide or something.

I've had this little guy for years now and when it comes to convenience and quick projects, it is fantastic. I actually can't remember the last time I used my full sized router but I also haven't been in the shop much for a while. Just understand the limitations and you should be very happy with this tool

Man I've been wanting this router but I know it occasionally goes on sale for 89.99 or 99.99 and that's with free shipping. Think I'll hold off for now.

Catch the right deal and you can get it for free when you buy other sets or bundles (that's one of those very situational deals that doesn't always apply to people who have a lot of what they need in a specific ecosystem already - moreso as upgrades or incentives to get people into that specific ecosystem). Check Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. promos regularly. Especially with the summer months, there will be plenty of holidays and specials for power tools. I'm pretty sure that's how I justified getting several of my DeWalt tools like sanders and whatnot.

Like the other reply: would also like to know what you think could be some limitations when compared to a full sized router. Thank you

Limitations: running out of battery... Maybe size of the bit? This thing is a beast in itself (come at me cord boys)

See SplendidCrown's response below for a great rundown. The only thing I would add on to that is the smaller footprint of the base. This can be a bonus for smaller surfaces but can sometimes lack the secure feeling you get with a full sized router when the surface area gets more contact coverage. The good news is that there are 3rd party accessories that can be purchased to help with that and even some that allow this to be used like a router table.

Personally, I prefer to keep my full sized router for larger shank router bits and for the next time I might need to tackle larger projects.

Batteries might be a drawback for some. I don't mind but only because I have plenty. Obviously this isn't the same for all users so it could be viewed as a negative I suppose.
