Wow, these look janky. Great price if they were decent.

I bought a pair of these that look pretty much the same. They have come in clutch a couple times for lifting heavy things to replace casters and such. I bought them to see if they would get a lot of use before shelling out for nicer ones like the Dewalt or Irwin models. I haven't used them enough to justify buying better ones, but indeed, these are kind of janky.

I'm waiting on a budget pair that has a slow lowering function. Apparently, these just drop when you push the release lever. When I asked Amazon's AI this is the response I got:
Unfortunately, the XClifes Labor Saving Arm Jack Tool does not support slow, controlled lowering. Multiple customers and Q&A answers confirm this:
  • When you press the release lever, the load drops rapidly — it's more of a sudden release than a gradual descent
  • There is no way to control the descent speed like a hydraulic jack would allow
  • One workaround suggested by buyers: place spacers/blocks under the load before releasing, so it lands on those rather than dropping the full distance

The packaging says it all. "Thickened Soild Steel Plate" Soild? If they can't even get the packaging out with any quality, I have my doubts about the product.

I did the same thing regarding purchasing a cheaper pair like these. Initially. Haven't used them enough to justify the expensive pair either thus far. Mine came with a blow molded case for storage and transport which is nice.
