I have these and they're not great for detection purposes. Got over a dozen setup around my house and every time one pops up I freak out, open it up, but never found a termite. They've been set off by worms, grass shoots growing into them, and even after a particularly bad weekend of heavy rain. I can't speak to their ability to kill termites, but it's annoying AF to see one popped up just to find it was for some other reason

Don't waste your money. They will all be popped up in a few months just from rain water.

I do this Every few months I mix a cocktail of weed/grass killer and Termidor SC and go around my house, sidewalks and and anywhere else I feel like. Kills ants, fleas, ticks, spiders, scorpions, mosquitoes, roaches, wasps, and termites, just generally anything I want away from my house! Probably kills some good stuff too but I am ok with that! Then I sleep soundly knowing the bug genocide is complete!
