Target Circle 360 is mainly useful for the included Shipt marketplace access and the free month promo, with the barcode in the Target app working for activation. Auto renew can be turned off in the app settings, and the free month has been shown to work even after a recent lapse in membership. The main drawbacks are that existing annual subscriptions block the offer, the freebies feel thin, and free shipping still requires a $35 spend. A handy trial if the included perks fit your shopping habits.
Shoppers who use grocery delivery through Shipt marketplace, because the membership includes it without an added markup.
Open the Target app and tap the barcode search icon in the search area, then scan the provided barcode. After the scan is complete, the app itself is not needed.
It does not work with an active annual membership because the app detects the existing subscription and fails. It can still work after a subscription has expired.
The main value is access to the Shipt marketplace without an added markup. The offer also includes two months of member freebies, though the freebies themselves may be underwhelming.
Would this still work if I do the 14-day trial and then scan? For example, do the trial until 5/22, active the free month before this deal expires
I don't know why you would do that but the trial would run out the 14 days which may preclude you from getting the free month. See comment about existing membership. I don't think trials get the freebies either but I'm not sure
What May freebie? Anything decent is already GONE! I've looked on the App and online account and there is nowhere to CANCEL! LOL
The auto-renewal off button can be found by tapping the 3 dots in the upper right corner. I just did it without a problem.

threshhold bowls for $1 a pair after $5 discount--that's what I'm getting
I can't get past the page because it keeps erroring out and asking for a payment method even though there is one linked. No wonder Target is failing.... lol
With all their grandstanding for and then immediately against DEI they've pretty much proven to be as vacuous a company as Walmart. They aren't especially a discount store although they pretend to be, stores have a heavy ghetto vibe, and their surveillance system apparently puts Peter Thiel into a jealous rage. Shop there as a last resort, sounds like even their "freebies" are just garbage too.

Not the same store anymore.... designers like Missoni would do a limited line... then it would be cleared out for 75% off to make room for something else. They refreshed their inventory so fast that there used to be a thread on Slickdeals (with the heading "rolling thunder") where people posted daily about the clearance deals they got.
There was once a store called Tar-jay... now look for it only in books, for it is no more than a dream remembered, a shopping experience gone with the ....
Once upon a time they were my favorite. Now target went down the drain. I went several times in last few weeks and every time store tag price is higher than target online price. I have to call employee to adjust the price. Besides they used to have lots of good deals and coupon. Now a days, I dont see many of them.

Agreed, and weekly ads have pretty much nothing of interest. Lots of BOGO 25% off for things I don't need two of.

Turning off auto-renewal can stop the membership from continuing after the free month.
The barcode scanning steps can be followed in the Target app using the barcode icon.
The offer can still work even when a prior Target Circle 360 subscription expired recently.
Target Circle 360 can add value by including the Shipt marketplace without an added markup.
The freebie portion of the promo can feel disappointing after the offer is applied.
The promo can fail when an annual Target Circle 360 membership already exists.
Free shipping may require spending $35, which can reduce the practical benefit for some shoppers.
A 14-day trial may run out before the free-month window, which can prevent receiving the free month.

It's a good question. Something to test on a secondary account and after you grab your May freebie.
