I didn't know SK sold on Amazon. I used to have some of their tools 20 plus years ago. They were top notch back then. Made in the USA but I imagine that part has changed.

SK Tools used to be a great American brand but were sold to the Chinese tool conglomerate Hangzhou GreatStar Industrial several years ago.

No clue why anyone is upvoting this.
More wrenches for less money all day at Walmart.

I have this Metric set and have been using it for about 6 months now with no issues. I like it for sure.

Nobody uses SAE anymore. And 12-point on a ratcheting ring makes zero sense. Who even designs those things?

SAE is used in construction, heavy equipment, farm machinery, aviation, material handling, manufacturing, electrical, plumbing, appliances, etc.
But if the only thing you work on is modern vehicles, you're right, you don't need it.

Maybe I'm misguided, but I'd rather buy a brand like gearwrench that was never American than one that sold out to China.

I just looked at their web site. It goes on and on about made in USA and pride. If you look at any tool it is made in China.

Don't let price fool you. Country of orgin is at the bottom of each page hidden in a drop down. It's a shame.

That's not true. All appliances sold in the US have gone metric. Manufacturing doesn't mean a thing. Electrical uses about 5 sizes and that's that, but no electrician would ever use a ratcheting wrench to begin with. Aviation has been metric for over 50 years if not more. Farm machinery meaning? Deere uses metric too. IDK what you mean by heavy equipment. If it is CAT - metric, maybe some custom made crane equipment will use it, but none would be using wrenches on promo from Amazon.

Is 18mm and 19mm the biggest for general use or should I get a set that goes up to 24mm?

I thought swivel and racket are weaker but could be good once the bolt is loose then you use to take off?

Not surprising. I figured they China'd out when I saw them on Scamazon for a low price. Pretty lame, but it's the way it is. I am officially an Icon man for automotive hand tools at this point.
