An interesting thing to note, these are "Fender" scale guitars instead of the shorter scale used on most Gibson's.

Never understood why they put the pickup switch between the knobs on these, but otherwise this design is better than the SG. Like them!

Not sure even at $1,500 for a Gibson it's a deal, to where it'll get played.
I had an original 1981 Gibson Victory Standard Bass.
The bass had a bolt-on neck, where the guitar is a set-neck.

A good deal on a Gibson. Unfortunately, Gibson & Fender are both way overpriced. There are plenty of guitar makers making better quality instruments at way less than half the price. I've got Gibson and Fender guitars, but they usually stay in their cases. They're too expensive to chance damage.
