I have no direct experience with arctic fans far as hands on experience but I've done a lot of research far as what case fans to get when the current ones die on my PC... from what I'm hearing online it's a "luck of the draw" kind of thing with the P14 fans, great value for the price and great air cooling but you may or may not get a humming sound at certain RPM's

If you're plugging these say right into your motherboard or using a fan hub controller from what I've researched you should be able to use a program like fan control (free download) to adjust the rpms (speed of the fan)

Apparently you want to watch out for the 1000 rpm range and set a fan curve to avoid that... some people report the same humming sound above 750 rpm .. again results vary, there are plenty of arctic fan owners who are perfectly happy with their fans, don't hear any noise at any rpm/speed and are wondering what all the fuss is about
