Just picked this up at Best Buy. It was the same price. I traded in an old beat up router for an extra 15% off coupon. $170+ tax was a great deal.

Been using for a few days. Added a network switch and wireless backhaul for the mesh devices. Speeds are great and coverage is outstanding. Highly recommend.

This system also has an issue with the Fast Roaming if you don't update the firmware, so make sure to update it once you get it.

Many are going this way. TP-Link, Eero, etc. This way they can force you to upgrade when they decide to no longer support a particular model.

I'm also seeing an additional 15% rewards back paying with Prime Visa card. YMMV.

Weird, I have an Orbi with an online account from several years ago and have never been pushed to upgrade the hardware.

Where is this at Best Buy? They have a BE3600 and a BE5000. This product from Amazon is a BE25. I don't see anything that is $200.

They dont need an app to force you to upgrade hardware. Google is the master of this practice. They just 'end of life'd my google wifi router and forced me to upgrade hardware.
Where the app helps is upselling premium software subscription - so they put some features such as advanced parental control behind the subscription paywall. Everyone does it Eero, TP link and others too.

Parental control on this is horrible unless you pay for their subscription service.

I read here that if you want to rely on wireless backhaul, you want at least TRI band mesh system. If you are setting up wired backhaul it should be fine, even then my tplink X55 is crap shoot in terms of speed even with POE.

This set is $219 with 10% Amazon card back, I know a bit more but they are power over Ethernet, POE. Would these be better if you need POE?
