Ace is kind of like the convenience store for hardware and home improvement.Yes, there is a little bit of a premium but you can get in and out a lot more quickly usually. Depending on your area, they sometimes have more knowledgeable workers ready to help. I go when I want to get something that I know they will have. I can get in and out faster than the time it takes for me to park my car at Home Depot and make it to the front door.

Ace Hardware is a convenient neighborhood hardware stop that stands out for quick trips, helpful staff, clean stores, and hard to find items like certain fertilizer and yard products. The gift card discount can also stack with Ace Rewards, app coupons, and occasional sales, which helps on propane refills, EGO tools, grills, and other purchases. The main drawback is price, since Ace often runs above big box stores and coupons do not always beat sale pricing. A useful way to stretch a local Ace run.

  • Homeowners who want a nearby hardware stop for quick project pickups, because the store is easy to get in and out of and usually has the needed item.

    matakuunhuman

  • Gardeners buying specialty fertilizer or yard products, because the store carries items they cannot find elsewhere.

    dgleisner

  • Grill owners shopping for a BGE or similar grill, because the gift card discount can be applied toward those purchases.

    vid1900

  • Propane refill regulars who use loyalty rewards, because the gift card deal stacks with cheap propane refills and the rewards program.

    pej7445

  • Deal hunters chasing the lowest hardware price, because the store can run higher than big-box competitors even after discounts.

    paulF3Deftek178

  • People who need broad project savings without app juggling, because the best coupons and rewards now depend on the app and stacking multiple offers.

    HyrumBeckPaulM1ghty

  • Buyers wanting consistently cheap everyday hardware, because the store can feel regular-priced after discounts and is only worth it for very cheap items mid-project.

    zapppzDeftek178

  • Shoppers expecting sale pricing to stack with coupons, because sale items can be excluded and the final price may still be higher after the coupon.

Great deal on 15% off and agree with others much needed when shopping at Ace. They carry the fertilizer/yard products that I like and no one else does.

If you consider 50-100% above Home Depot a little... The ace near my house unfortunately is consistently on the high end of that scale. Only time I go there is if I'm in the middle of a project and need a very cheap item.

is the 1 per buyer a lifetime thing? I know I bought one a year or so ago, not sure if it's the same promotion. Though using the eGift Card it seemed like the employees had no idea and had to call a manager off their shift to figure it out.
