FWIW, at best the two devices are roughly equal. It is a formfactor / brand preference mostly.
RP6 is still on mega backorder and most RP6 orders are taking solid 4-5 weeks just to even ship out. Total order to ship to door time is like 6-7+ weeks.
As far as power, the RP5's 865 performs decently well for everything PS2 and below and can handle very very light Switch and PC gaming. I have the Flip 2 (same 865) I use as my EDC, and i have no problems with most games. Even Android games.
When i wanna play beefier games, I dig out my Ayn Thor or Pocket DS.
Let us just hope Coopreme is a solid seller doesn't ship a bunch of duds.

Considering this is FREE shipping, and its at such a discounted price and the fact you can stack even more coupons on top of the deal is insane.
I duno why but GC/Purple color was $120 for me and black is the noted $139.
As of posting GC/Purple color is completely sold out. Only black left.

I've had worse luck with little cheap (under $4) items than big ones. When I got an order that was dishonest, I filed a ticket and Aliexpress refunded me next day without even asking questions.

However, the Retroid Pocket 5 has a structural advantage when it comes to playing certain games because it features dedicated ergonomic grips, active cooling, and a traditional, wider layout with stacked bumpers/triggers.
Heavy Emulation Titles: Demanding PS2 and GameCube games (like Shadow of the Colossus or F-Zero GX) heat up the device. The active cooling on the Retroid Pocket 5 sustains peak performance, preventing performance-throttling or crashes that might otherwise happen during long play sessions on passively-cooled devices
