Take this with a grain of salt but unless you really want the samsung branding, I think it's a better buy to get the 512gb onn express card as supposedly it's a rebrand of Lexar which is good enough for most people

Interesting... This seems to be some new proprietary nonsense, doesn't say uhs-ii anywhere but it has extra contacts like uhs-ii. And needs Samsung reader for those speeds.
It's not proprietary, it's a new standard. The new contacts use a PCI express interface and reach cheap SSD speeds (over 800mb/s read and 600mb/s write)

Lexar is not the same brand as I bought 20 years ago - new ownership. No issues but please keep that in mind. NAND prices will continue to increase for the next 24 months - as long as HDDs are sold out (12 month lead time).

It's amazing how much more expensive these got in just 6 months. I bought mine back in December for $30. Remember when flash memory got cheaper with time?

I bought the 256 and 512 gb onn version for our switch 2. Well the 512 gb lasted barely 6 months and just died. Trying to figure out how to use the supposed 1 year warranty as Walmart is not helpful at all... I was fine with it maybe not lasting as long but 6 month with hardly any use at all is pretty bad. And the warranty seems to exist only on paper. For now I swapped the 256 gb card in for now which still works.

I bought this on Dec 15 for $33. Now it's like 50% higher in 6 months. I'm so glad I have all the storage and dram I need at least for another 12 months so I don't need to buy at these inflated prices.

Read speed is up to 800MB/sec, and I found write speeds listed somewhere between 200-280MB/sec which should be fast enough for any dashcam, drone, or action camera. I've only used the Samsung blue and green U3 cards sold on Amazon which have a read/write speed around 140MB/sec and they have never had issues in any above mentioned devices so I'd assume this would be even better since it has about 33% faster write speed than my cards have.

Thanks. Lexar was basically sold as a brand only to some Chinese company to sell their own memory. It is definitely not the same brand or quality. AFAIK stick with Sandisk or Samsung.

People don't seem to have a good experience in any of the ONN microsd threads. Seems like they last around 6 months. Not very assuring.
