This Switch 2 pick your game bundle is mainly attractive because it lets you choose a first party game for about $50 over console MSRP, which still lands below buying the pieces separately. The bundle gets even better when paired with discounted Nintendo eShop cards from Costco or other sources, with reported totals around $441 to $467 after tax and cash back. The main caveat is that better clearance or membership deals have existed at Sam's Club, Costco, and Woot, but those were limited, store dependent, or no longer available. A solid value if you can stack discounts or want a specific launch game.
Shoppers who can stack discounted eShop cards, because the bundle price can drop into the low $440s with Costco discounts and cash back.
Players who already want Mario Kart World or Pokopia, because the bundle lets them pick a game they would buy anyway.
Buyers trying to lock in a console before a price increase, because the bundle can feel worthwhile when avoiding a later higher price.
Families choosing a first-party game bundle, because the console still sells near MSRP and the included game effectively costs about $50.
Deal hunters comparing against past clearance pricing, because earlier Switch 2 bundles have been far cheaper at Sam's Club and Woot.
Value-focused buyers who want a steep discount on the hardware itself, because the bundle still sits close to MSRP and the savings are modest.
Families expecting a sub-$200 console for multiple kids, because buying several units at $500 each is a big ask.
Shoppers counting on Nintendo eShop gift cards to reduce checkout total, because the balance may not apply to the console bundle.

Basically, clearance, instore only price. You had to have been lucky enough to have a Sam's Club near you, with stock, at the clearance price (not all stores had the same level of clearance pricing).
