They are the reason prices increase so much more than inflation.

Has there been any word as to whether this will be available from any other source (Costco, Target, Walmart, etc)?

The fact that people are saying this is a "good deal" since prices are set to increase for a system that's a year old is insane.

This Switch 2 pick your game bundle is mainly attractive because it lets you choose a first party game for about $50 over console MSRP, which still lands below buying the pieces separately. The bundle gets even better when paired with discounted Nintendo eShop cards from Costco or other sources, with reported totals around $441 to $467 after tax and cash back. The main caveat is that better clearance or membership deals have existed at Sam's Club, Costco, and Woot, but those were limited, store dependent, or no longer available. A solid value if you can stack discounts or want a specific launch game.

  • The best alternative pricing appears tied to limited-time clearance or stock-dependent retailer deals that can sell out quickly.

  • Nintendo gift cards reportedly may not apply to the Switch 2 console bundle checkout even when they work for games.

    armando416

  • The deal's value can be questioned because the screen upgrade pricing makes the overall package feel less discounted.

    BJFish

  • Buying multiple Switch 2 consoles at $500 each can be a financial stretch for families compared with earlier Switch pricing.

woot deal from some weeks ago was so much better, $400 for a switch 2 and ~$450 with Mario kart. sadly not available anymore but that was the time to get one imo
This is the whole problem with Switch 2. With the OG Switch, there was no "THE time get one", it was so cheap you just went and got it. You could even get the cheaper Lite for under 200 regular price. The Switch 1 was perfect for big families that don't want to share a single console, but buying multiples at $500 is a big ask.

They're banking on people having FOMO before the price increase and it's probably gonna work. I know multiple people that bought the PS5 Pro for the same reason.

I'm surprised they aren't already talking about the "rumored" Switch 3 or Pro model. We had to listen to that nonsense for almost a decade on the S1.

"Don't buy now, the Switch 2 is JuSt aRoUnD ThE CoRnEr coming Black Friday (2017/2018/2019/2020/2021/2022/2023/2024)"

Legit comment. If you can find it, isn't buying the MarioKart world bundle at $499 a better deal given costcos return policy?

And the ps5 pro did AMAZINGLY well because of all those brainless idiots. They're now trying to bank on another wave of sales by announcing their newest price increase.

Save $50 more by buying Costco eshop cards. Two of the $200 (@$180) and a $100 (@90) then add to your eshop account and the purchase the bundle from the Nintendo site.

They also had a coupon around the same time though it only took 20$ off max. But if it had been in stock id regretfully probably would have pulled the trigger on one.

I think you should be able to use Nintendo gift cards on the purchase. You can buy gift cards at Costco for 10% off so you can essentially get 10% off this price. Someone fact check me
I can confirm you can do this with the CostCo 10% discounted Nintendo eShop cards, bringing the price down the $449.97 with a $9 end of year cash rebate further reducing the net price to $441+tax. This includes free standard shipping to my address.

I have a switch 2 but honestly would sell it for $300 and pay $600 for a OLED model. Don't quite get why Nintendo doesn't want more money. Give the people that want to pay more what they want.
Your saying sell the switch 2, that you spent $500 on just to buy an OLED switch 1 for $600 which is more than MSRP? Uh, okay. Sounds like the opposite of a slick deal to me.

I absolutely loved Star Fox 64 and ocarina of Time. And definitely I'm going to buy both. But for some reason I am just not super excited for the same thing. Like I get it. It has cool graphics but I just wish there was more to it. Like at least an expansion to it. I can't help but feel like I'm going to be very disappointed in ocarina of Time because it's just the same exact game and there's nothing extra. But I don't think these games are for me. They're for the younger generation. So I hope they like it.
I think you're wrong...I think this game is for you - those of us that played the game originally and can relive the nostalgia - AND its also for the younger generation that will experience it for the firs time. Thats the beauty, so much time has elapsed that a remake is justified and seeing it under a new light will feel like the first time. Now if you wanna argue that the gameplay & mechanics may not hold up, thats a different discussion altogether.
