I think the moto tab 2026 from metro is a better deal but its only for existing metro customers or one can buy a new device like moto g stylus or tcl nxtpaper 70 pro with one month service and then the moto tablet. The combination will still be cheaper than this tablet alone
  • Metro deal isn't for everyone.
  • Samsung has newer specs.
  • Samsung will have updates through 2032. Motorola only offers updates for 3 years.

Good NEWS...

Asome Tablet deal going on right now... Lenovo Idea Tab Pro $250. It puts this tablet to shame.

I agree, but that option isn't available to everyone. I got a G Stylus in August of 2025 because I wanted the phone. Then in Feb 2026 I got another stylus to get in on the Galaxy Tab A9 deal, but wasn't able to order the tablet. It kept saying to contact customer service (who couldn't help). It seems I ran up against some soft cap they have for participating in promotions. It's very unclear what the limit is or when/if it will reset. As of now, even if I can get another phone order to go through, I may not be able to get the tablet. I might try my luck again if they get the 2026 G Stylus for free since I'd actually want that phone, but as of now, I don't want to try with a 2025.

Valid points, I take my opinion back, apologies.

I bought this at Costco about 2 months ago for the same price.

The case is nice and allows you to position the tablet in 4 different positions. I use this for keeping woodworking instructions or plans up as I work. The screen is large enough to see what I need from a short distance.
I would say that its a bit too large to use as a e-reader that you use laying in bed. Do able for sure, just not super comfortable.

Battery last a long time and I keep the screen on when using it for several hours at a time. Bluetooth connectivity us super quick. (Faster than my Pixel 10 Pro.)

The screen looks great at night, but being TFT, is a bit washed out in brighter environments, but is still far from awful.

Have only ever owned a couple of Fire tablets that were free to me so I'm curious as to what would one have to spend in order to get a mid range tablet these days? Never used either of the Fires much as they were very limited in what they could do

Yeah, I was also not thrilled with the screen, but it's a solid tablet for the price, and the security updates window you get from Samsung makes this a far better choice than some no-name brand (or even Motorola)
